"New Year's Eve" is a Lofi track with a pretty tricky chord progression that I love. It has a bit more of a Boombap feel. The crowd gathers together in celebration and the fireworks begin! A taste of things to come right before midnight strikes!

"The Vision" is a sobering New Year's resolution stating that we all can do better in 2023! Malleous is my amazing friend who spits fire bars! I showed him my previous EPs, and he wanted to spit on a beat! I produced this beat to sound a bit like Dr. Dre but while retaining my own flavour.

"Salvador" is a Mariachi-styled track with a Reggaeton beat. I especially love the harp solo in the middle. I made this song for my papá Sal. ¡Te amo Papá! ¡Felíz año nuevo!

"New Year's Day" is more of a traditional Lofi track like you'd hear on Youtube. Midnight has finally arrived, but the party hasn't ended just yet!

"The Morning After" is that feeling of the sun rising on New Year's Day after partying all night long. This was created in collaboration with my best friend Mary. I gave her some multiple choice questions regarding key signature, time signature, BPM, etc, and I created the beat following what she chose. :D I made the saxophone the main lead instrument since one of her favourite songs is "Careless Whisper".

All tracks were produced in Nanostudio 2 on my iPad Pro and mastered in AUM. In NS2, I used some drum sample packs (including Imageline's "The Lofi Box" and "Superdrums 8000") on 3 of the tracks and the "Splat-to-Clat" Hip Hop drum rompler on 2 others. The 808 basses came from NS2's internal synth "Obsidian" treated with some saturation. I made heavy use of the "Beef" plugin on the drum busses on which I also stuck the 808 basses.

Instrument sounds came from both Korg Module Pro and Beathawk, with BabyAudio's "Pitch Drift" plugin being placed on most instruments for that lofi warble effect. I bussed the instruments together and used "MagicDeathEyeStereo" to glue them.

In AUM, I played each track in order and added a crowd cheering and fireworks as background fodder. I ran the signal through "RX950", "MagicDeathEyeStereo", Unfiltered Audio's "Lo-Fi-AF" plugin (gotta get that vinyl crackle in there!), and "NoLimits" limiter.
