Lofi Dreams isn't just an album full of Lofi HipHop but also explores the concept of Lofi in music in of itself while hopefully providing an interesting and relaxing audio experience. This is my first foray into Lofi and producing a Jazzy sound in most of the tracks.

"Triste" is a HipHop track dedicated to a wonderful waitress I knew for over half my life who recently passed away, and thus this track is first. May God keep you in His heart Renee. You will be missed.

"Wizardry" was live performed in Koala Sampler using some loops produced in an app called "Jam with Jordan". People who say that "Jam with Jordan" is a lousy toy app don't understand that you can produce some loops with it. I created the loops at 100bpm and pitched them down 3 semitones to match 84bpm.

"Rainy Day" is a waltz with a HipHop beat. Just your classic easy-going type of Lofi track.

"Hold My Beer" was an idea originally conceived in Korg Gadget about six months ago which can be heard on my SoundCloud account. However, I remade it in a Lofi House style, changed the melody to play around with chord extensions, and put said melody on the piano.

The "LoStep" title is a play on the term "Brostep". The track is actually old school UK Dubstep blended with a Lofi HipHop aesthetic. Sure my introduction to Dubstep was through the Brostep styled tracks of the early 2010s, but when I listened to older UK Dubstep, my mind was blown at how chill and laidback it was.

"San Juanito" is a callback to my childhood back when I attended Summerfest and the State Fair. Those places are where I first heard indigenous Ecuadorian music by bands like "Wayanay" and "Ecuador Manta", and I've loved this style of music ever since.

I hope you enjoyed listening to "Lofi Dreams" as much as I've enjoyed creating it.

Apps used - Koala Sampler, Nanostudio 2, AUM for mastering, instrument plugins including Korg Module and Beathawk, and effect plugins including RX950, DAW Cassette, PCM2612, UA lo-fi-af, MagicDeathEyeStereo, and NoLimits limiter. Most tracks were produced on my 12.9" iPad Pro, but "LoStep" was produced on my iPhone SE 2.
